Learning the basic gymnastics movements is an essential part of Crossfit training. Our gymnastics program focuses on building the foundational skills a successful athlete must possess in order to safely and efficiently execute movements such as pistol squats, kipping pull ups, handstand push ups, handstand walks, ring dips, and muscle ups. Gymnastics class will develop athletes’ body awareness, strength, explosiveness, balance, coordination, flexibility, mobility, and confidence.
Over the course of the year, athletes will focus on skill development, gymnastics strength training, and build towards applying their skill and strength under fatigue, mimicking the demands of the Crossfit setting. Class includes one day designated as a “Press Day” and the other designated as “Pull Day.” Lower body work will be included once weekly as well.
